TLP Transition to Online Provision

Amplifying Community Voices

Following a deeply insightful and impactful series of drop-in sessions at Crook Community Centre .  The energy and participation we witnessed at the Crook Community Centre is truly inspiring, providing a rich tapestry of experiences and perspectives that now form the bedrock of our future work.

Our move to an online provisions phase  marks an exciting evolution for TLP, allowing us to extend our reach and deepen our engagement with the invaluable insights gathered during our recent in-person sessions

The recent drop-in series served as a vital opportunity to connect directly with our community, fostering a safe and welcoming space for individuals to share their thoughts, experiences, and concerns. The wealth of data collected during these sessions is now being carefully collated and analysed. Crucially, we want to reassure our community that the Crook Community Centre remains a vital asset lock for TLP. While we embrace the opportunities of online provision, our physical presence and commitment to the Crook community remain steadfast.

This commitment is further underlined by our active participation in the forthcoming Durham City Council Mental Health Roadshow, where TLP will be on-site, continuing to engage directly with individuals and share information about our services and the importance of mental wellbeing.

Opening Ears on Mental Health

Our dedication to mental health awareness extends beyond the roadshow. We are also delighted to be organising a Wear It Green Day as part of NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK. This initiative will be a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together in national support of the invaluable work carried out by the Mental Health Foundation. Mental Health Awareness Week will take place from 12th to 18th May 2025, and the theme is 'Community'

Bolstered by the findings of our recent social research, we are prioritizing digital inclusion across all our areas of activity. We recognise the importance of ensuring everyone has the skills and access to navigate the digital landscape, and this principle will underpin the development and delivery of our Digital Inclusion Strategy

Building upon the strong foundations laid during our in-person sessions, while our commitment to our physical presence in Crook remains unwavering.  Our  ongoing research with NHS and Good Things Foundation will will develop delivery techniques and establish accessible platforms empowering community through engaging a wider range of individuals in offering greater flexibility around interactive engagement.

Then broadening the fostering of deeper connections and collaborative learning. Allowing us to scale our impact and reach more individuals in a sustainable and efficient manner.

We are incredibly excited about this new chapter for TLP. The transition to online provision is not a departure from our community roots, but rather an evolution that will allow us to amplify the powerful voices we encountered at the Crook Community Centre and beyond, while maintaining our vital presence within the community. We remain deeply committed to fostering meaningful connections, driving positive change, and empowering our community through the power of listening – both online and in person.

Stay tuned for more updates on our online workshop schedule, our presence at the Durham City Council Mental Health Roadshow, our Wear It Green Day plans, and the progress of our NHS Digital Provisions Pilot Scheme and Community Power funding bid.

The journey continues, and we are thrilled to have you with us!
